What is MCP invoicing?
MCP (the Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude talk to real tools. InvoiceBadger runs an MCP server, so once you connect it, your AI can add clients, log hours, raise invoices and mark them paid on your behalf.
What it looks like in practice
After connecting InvoiceBadger to Claude, you type things like:
- "Log 90 minutes on the Acme invoice for the API fixes" — it adds a line at Acme's hourly rate.
- "What's outstanding?" — it totals up your unpaid invoices.
- "Mark Acme's March invoice paid" — done.
No forms, no tab-switching, no remembering which button raises a new invoice. You describe the work; the badger does the admin.
How to connect it
Create a free account, open your settings, and copy your MCP URL. Add it as a connector in Claude (or any MCP client), sign in with your InvoiceBadger email, and the tools appear. From then on you can drive your whole invoicing from chat.
